Another month has come to an end and some great news, I think I’m finally out of my reading slump! I don’t want to speak too soon but over the past month I looked forward to reading at any spare moment and I’ve been enjoying some slower paced books that I know, had I read them last year or even just a couple months ago, I probably wouldn’t have been able to get into them. I’m looking forward to reading some summer themed books in July so stay tuned for my TBR post coming soon!

And the best book I read this month was…
Flashfall by Jenny Moyer! It had been too long since I’d read a dystopian and, seeing as this one had been staring at me from my shelf for coming up to two years now, it was high time I read it. Reading this was so nostalgic and it brought me back to when I first read The Hunger Games. I loved the characters and the chemistry between the two heroines was so sincere! I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the sequel!
New Books Acquired:
Big thanks to the publishers: Harper360YA for Clementine and Danny and Frontera & Sourcefire Books for The Shadow Sister! The only book I bought this month was Nevermoor and that one I got used for just £2! The rest were sent to me, gifted or swapped for.

- Illinois has officially banned book bans! This law will take affect January 1st, 2024 and is the first state of hopefully many more to do so.
- Barbara Kingsolver wins the Women’s Prize for Fiction with her latest book Demon Copperhead.
