This year, one of my goals is to publish a wrap-up post for every month of 2023. This will be the first time I’ve ever attempted to create one and I’m really excited to finally be trying it out! Here’s how it’s going to go: I’ll start with all the books I read in the month followed by which one was my favorite, then I’ll move onto all the books I acquired over the month and finally I’ll share some books that I think should be on your radar for next month!
Books Read:
This year I’m taking off the pressure of a reading goal so that I can really try and focus on enjoying the books I read instead of them being just another number. So far it’s going pretty well and I think January was a solid reading month for me! I read 7 books in total:
And the best book I read this month was…
BEYOND THE WAND: THE MAGIC AND MAYHEM OF GROWING UP A WIZARD by TOM FELTON!
I loved this book! It conveyed so much emotion and heart but in a down-to-earth way that is easy for the reader to connect with. The chapters were laid out so well and some of his stories were hilarious! But he also wasn’t afraid to delve into deeper issues which inevitably come with growing up in the spotlight. If you have the chance to listen to the audio-book version of this one I highly recommend it. The author is the one who narrates it and hearing his life’s story read aloud in his voice just hits different. Overall, I highly recommend it, especially to any Harry Potter fans!
Books Acquired:

If you can believe it, I only bought three of the pictures pictured! My book-buying limit for January was two books and, I did exceed that number by a few, but I’ve made sure to make up for it by unhauling a couple! I’m so excited to finally have a copies of both Cinder and Lovely War, and the five hardcovers you see were part of a big donation of books that I’m selling to raise money for my local community library 😊
February Releases:
There aren’t too many releases I’m anticipating in February but here’s a few I think are worth checking out!
I hope that you all had a great January, make sure to let me know in the comments what your favorite books from the month were and also which February releases you’re looking forward to! Happy Reading 🙂

I like the way you’ve broken down your categories and shared books you like and are looking forward to. My favorite read in January was Murder at Haven’s Rock by Kelley Armstrong – check out my post here for other bookish rankings.
