Shout-out to @HaleyPham for these questions ๐Ÿ™‚

Best Cover:

This is a beautiful cover and I’m pleased to report that the story is equally as lovely!

Most Shocking Plot Twist:

When I tell you my heart actually stopped, I have never read anything so twisted.

Best Banter:

This series has been getting all the hype and when it comes to the banter it totally delivers!

Most Beautiful Setting:

Reading this one while in Scotland was one of the best reader moves I pulled all year. I would totally move there in a heartbeat!

Saddest Book:

This book was a sucker-punch and I think the saddest part was that too much of it could be absolutely true.

Funniest Book:

I don’t read too many funny books but this is one that definitely took me by surprise with its humor!

Best Quotes:

Just go read some of these.

Best Escapism:

I miss the hours I spent inside of this book!

Other End of Year Ramblings:

I dnf’ed five books this year, four of which were fantasy books with the same reasoning behind it! This seems to be the most hit or miss genre for me and it seems like a common factor is, if the stakes aren’t there, it’s really hard for me to stick it out through the world-building. I think it’s why I love dystopians so much, the stakes are usually ridiculously high from the start and world-building can be minimal as long as the right motivators are there. So if you have any high stakes fantasy recommendations, let me here them! I do still love the genre and in the wealth of those currently being published I’m excited to use 2025 to discover my niche.

I plan on creating a post soon filled with my goals/reading plans for 2025, but until then be sure to leave me your favorites from the year down below and I will see you somewhere else on the internet! Happy Reading & Happy New Year everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
