I know this post is a long time in coming but better late than never! I am shocked I was able to get any reading done in June, but somehow between my first year of university coming to a close and a 10-day trip around the UK with my family, I managed to finish even more books than last month! I brought home lots of new books as well so I will be trying to dial back on purchasing this summer and instead focus on reading the ones I have.

And the best book I read this month was…

A Crown of Chains by Erin Phillips! This is a biblical retelling of the book of Esther and WOW, it was everything I wanted it to be and more. The realities of Esther’s situation were heartbreakingly but authentically portrayed and the humanness of her character matched with her budding faith made for an incredible reading experience. This book ultimately left me so encouraged in my own walk with God and if that doesn’t deserve 5 stars, I don’t know what does!

New Books Acquired:

Great looking stack of books this month! A few ARCs mixed in, including The Maid and the Crocodile which I’m over the moon about! I also attended two author talks this month, Zeinab Badawi, and, Lauren Roberts, which were both exceptional. Can’t wait to dive into all of these!
