April was a great month for new books! That said I didn’t actually end up reading a ton of books this month but I’m okay with that because I’ve been knocking a few of the intimidating ones off the tbr which takes time. Silly me also decided to start two 500+ page books right around the time I received a kindle stocked with 3 months free of kindle unlimited so needless to say I’ve been trying to speed through my current reads to try and get to all the new kindle books I downloaded!

And the best book I read this month was…
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko! This book is ingenious. The world-building, the plot, the magic system were all so captivating and coming off the back of some not-so great books last month, it was ultimately a reminder to me of why I read. If you are a fantasy fan run don’t walk to your nearest bookstore or library!
New Books Acquired:
I went a bit crazy on the new books this month lol. We’ve got a mix of thrift store finds, birthday hauls and misc. swaps, giveaways and purchases, but it’s enough that I’m seriously considering another book buying ban. Really excited to dive into all of them eventually though!
