Welcome to another wrap-up! Summer is coming to a close but I still have a trip to Spain to look forward to next week and I’m so excited to soak in the last of the sun by the pool with a good book! I read 9 books in total this month with three of those being five star reads! I did end up opting for some shorter ones, but a book’s a book right?

And the best book I read this month was…
As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh! The raw portrayal of pain and suffering amidst the start of the Syrian revolution was shocking and over the course of the book my heart was split into a thousand pieces. But there were also times that I laughed and I was ultimately left deeply inspired by the characters and their message of hope. This is a beautiful book which I think everyone needs to read, just remember to have your tissues ready!
