These questions were taken from @sara.likesbooks on Instagram 🙂

Favorite/Least Favorite Genres:

My favorite genre right now is dystopian but I can always count on enjoying a good historical fiction as well! My least favorite genre is sci-fi. If the story is about humans and just happens to be set in space, I’m usually okay with that, but when we start talking about space creatures and inter-dimensional stuff you’ve lost me.

Worst Habit as a Reader:

Confession time: I dog-ear pages! Not as much anymore since I invested in some tabs, but I honestly have no guilt in doing it. Cracked spines are the bane of my existence though!

Do I Read the Synopsis:

For sure! I think there’s too much room for failure if you don’t so I will definitely read the synopsis and usually some reviews as well. What can I say, I’m a researcher!

Favorite Series:

I’ve changed this question from Favorites of Last Year since I already made a post about that. I love Harry Potter and The Hunger Games of course but two of my favorite lesser known series are The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale and The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani!

Favorite Classic:

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. These were the first two classics I LOVED! With Pride and Prejudice I’d recommend watching the tv show before reading as I found that really helped when it came to following the storyline, but both of these are definitely not to be missed!

Last Book I Read and Loved:

I also changed this question from Current Read because I feel like this one translates better over time. Just this morning I finished Flashfall by Jenny Moyer which was amazing! 2010’s dystopians just hit different and I had the time of my life while reading this one!

Books I’m Looking Forward to:

My Goodreads tbr list is over 500 books long so I think it’s safe to say that there are a LOT of books I’m looking forward to. A couple that I’m excited to read soon though are, What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez which I received as an ARC, The Theft of Sunlight by Intisar Khanani and Gone Dark by Amber Panitch.

Books I’m Ashamed I Haven’t Read:

I’m not really the kind of person who feels the need to keep up with whatever book is super popular at the moment but one I really want to jump on the bandwagon for is An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir! Also Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, I just get so scared when it comes to hyped books due to my tract record of not enjoying them!

And here are two bonus questions I saw while browsing book tags, these came from howling libraries:

Recommend One Book Per Season:

I love this question! Spring: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery; Summer: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen or any fluffy contemporary romances; Fall: Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk; Winter: The Winter Garden by Alexandra Bell.

Favorite Book of All Time:

Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan! I can’t even explain to you what exactly it is I love about this book but all you need to know is that it is amazing and you need to read it!

Happy reading everyone 🙂
